Our Story

About Kinosyne

Kinosyne was founded in 2025 as a bold response to traditional, one-size-fits-all education.

We believe learning should be dynamic, joyful, and personal—not standardized. Our mission is to empower learners of all ages through creative, inclusive educational experiences that challenge the status quo.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and serving a global community, Kinosyne blends education and genealogy in a way that brings memory into motion—bridging the past with the possibilities of the future.

Our Founder

Kevin Edwards is the founder of Kinosyne. He has been an educator since 2021, working with various California public school districts to instruct students across all grade levels, K–12. In addition to classroom teaching, Kevin has supported adult learners online in acquiring English language skills.

While earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Fordham University, Kevin served as a Resident Advisor with the nonprofit Educational Housing Services, supporting students in academic and personal development.

Before entering the field of education in 2019, Kevin began his professional journey as an Intelligence Analyst in the United States Marine Corps in 2013. His service—beginning in Okinawa, Japan—shaped the global perspective and cross-cultural sensitivity he now brings to every learning environment. Today, he draws on that experience to build meaningful connections with learners of all backgrounds.
